The Artist

Keki Dexter

I was born in Mobile, Alabama on November 8, 1990, after 46 hours of labor—an entrance so dramatic the whole hospital cheered. Looking back, it feels fitting. Creativity has always been at the center of my life. Growing up, I earned awards in writing, art, dance, and drama, which led me to major in Telecommunication and Film at The University of Alabama. After earning my BA, I traveled the country sharing stories through music and film.

Now based in Los Angeles, I've performed across the city and in Atlanta, where I was featured on 91.1 FM WREL-ATL, the oldest hip-hop station in the area. My music streams on all major platforms, supported by four high-quality music videos, a full album, six singles, and connections with some of the biggest names in the industry.

I've volunteered for three years with Aim 4 the Heart, a nonprofit founded by Leila Steinberg that brings emotional literacy programs to schools, prisons, and community groups. I also interned at the 1500 Sound Academy, learning from industry professionals like Larrance Dopson, James Fauntleroy, and Wyann Vaughn. Currently, I assist Stacia Mac in building the ODA music talent management firm.

As an artist, I celebrate the beauty and power of being a Black woman in America. My lyrics focus on confidence, empowerment, and mindfulness, delivered with a modern trap-inspired sound. My goal is to tour globally and use my platform to promote history, self-care, and conscious living.
